LONDON
MUSES
LAYOUT

I was originally wanting the layout to look similar to an editorial magazine style artist feature, with a double page spread using images and pull quotes. I still want to utilize this layout for a physical print out version of Muses, but I’m wanting to make the digital layout more compatible with phone and laptop interfaces, which means altering my layout ideas. I’ve opted for a clean and clear layout, showing images with movement pathways grouped together and singular images stand alone. For example, Shani has a set of three images that show her stages of pathway to the final movement, these three images will be grouped together chronologically so it’s clear to the viewer that these three images were taken as a collective picture.
I want the project to feel personal which is why I’m including text with each muse, telling the viewer about their background, their inspirations and their connection with London. The information I will include is a small background and introduction to the artist including their name age, where they trained and some credits. I've also included the full interview available as a transcript on their individual page.
You can see here I tested out some alternative ways of having the title to appear, after trying out a few different ways, I decided to stick with the simple Arial Black font and regular text as it looks cleaner and more slick.
Handwriting their names in upper and lower case for the polaroid images for the landing page, I picked my favourites.
